The material we use to scope a programme

Free, and without a form in front of it. If these help you run a better programme somewhere else, that is a reasonable outcome.

What is here

Programme scoping checklist

The questions to answer before you buy anything: who, which language, what has to be true at the end, and how you will know.

CEFR level reference

What A1 to C2 actually mean in workplace terms — what someone at each level can and cannot do in a meeting, a call or a document.

Cohort planning sheet

Working out group sizes, weekly hours and term length against a target level, so the objective matches the hours available.

Data handling summary

What learner data a programme involves, where it is processed, and what your legal team will want to see.

Downloads are not wired up yet. Ask support for any of these and we will send the current version, which also means you get a file that is actually up to date.

Start here if you are scoping

Three questions that decide most of the programme design.

What has to be true at the end?

Not “improve English”. Something observable — chairing a meeting, handling a support call, or a named certificate.

How many hours can people really give?

Be pessimistic. A programme scoped on optimistic availability fails on attendance, not on teaching.

Who signs off the renewal?

Find out now what evidence that person will want, and make sure the programme produces it from week one.

The group level test is usually the first practical step — it turns self-assessment into a real distribution, which is what cohort planning depends on.

Want the templates?

Ask and we will send the current versions — no form, no drip sequence.
