You do not need a subscription to book a lesson or take a course on Learniv. It exists for people studying continuously, where paying per item stops making sense.
What it includes
Current plans, what each includes and their prices are shown on the pricing step at checkout, so they always reflect live pricing rather than a page that has quietly drifted out of date.
In broad terms a subscription covers continuous access to course content and the practice engine, with lesson credit either bundled or bought separately depending on the plan. Live one-to-one lessons are paid at the tutor's own rate in every case, because that money goes to the tutor.

Pause without losing anything
Travelling, exams, a busy month at work. Pause the subscription and your credits, streak and course progress are exactly where you left them.
Cancel from your account
One control in settings, no phone call and no retention flow designed to wear you down. Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
Credits do not expire
Lesson credits you have already bought or earned stay on the account whether or not the subscription is active.
No charge without warning
A renewal notice goes out before the card is charged, and a price change is notified before it takes effect rather than after.
Do you actually need one?
Probably worth it
You are studying most weeks, working through a course alongside lessons, and using the practice queue between them. The per-item cost adds up faster than the plan does.
Probably not
You want a handful of lessons before a trip or an interview, or you are preparing for one exam on a fixed date. Buy the lessons and the mock tests you need instead.

Take a free placement test and a free course first. A subscription is a decision you can make later, once you know how you study.
